Confey GAA Launches New Book to Mark 35th Anniversary

On February 19th, 2025, Confey GAA proudly launched a new commemorative book to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the club’s founding. Titled “The Heritage and History of Confey GAA Club,” the book captures the stories, milestones, and spirit that have shaped the club since its formation in 1990.

We were honoured to welcome Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns, President of the GAA, to Confey for the occasion. His presence marked the significance of the event and the proud standing Confey GAA holds within the wider GAA community.

The book launch is the result of a full year of dedication and research by a committed group of club members. Special thanks go to authors Eamonn Fennelly, Mick Crean, Alison Healy, Mick Kenny and Ian Baker all who contributed to bringing this publication to life. Their efforts have ensured that the legacy of Confey GAA is preserved for future generations.

This beautifully compiled book is a true keepsake for families, past and present players, volunteers, and supporters. It honours the community, the sporting achievements, and the countless individuals who have made the club what it is today.
